Preparing students for life beyond school,
In Secondary we will provide a practical career and university counselling program in which students are guided and advised on a subject choice, course selection, career exploration, and university preparation.
This process begins in Grade 9 through to Grade 12, students are exposed to different professions in order to equip them to make better choices for universities and majors. The Director of Student Services and the career/university counselling team meet with students to discuss career aspirations, introduce prestigious universities from all corners of the world, and discuss topics related to academic and university preparation. Guest speakers from various career fields and university representatives will be a part of this program and provoke students to begin thinking about career readiness.
The Secondary academic team will monitor student progress and analyse assessment results to ensure that students are given extra support as needed. Students will receive individualised guided support to prepare students for future careers and reflect on personal interests. Students and families have access to the career/university counselling team and its services at any grade.
